Am I Dublin Worthy ?

After having spent two unforgettable weeks in Dublin, I can say with a bit more reassurance that the title of this text should be modified to: Am I rich?

If you’re prepared to pay for 22 euros poliakov, 3 euros the mini pack of dragibus, and « only » 7 euros kebabs #Aniis (that’s what you’ll be surviving on) then you’re all set for living the Irish Dream.

Moving on. Trinity College is located in the very center of Dublin and has all necessities one requires within short walking distance. With an extremely friendly Irish population, one tends to quickly find their way around town—and around campus which can be shockingly big. The amphitheaters are humongous(Vannier x4) and are all equipped with the latest technology cinema projectors, two-story whiteboards, clean graduated cylinders, and very fast wifi (INSA x999). If you’re sporty or more of an intellect you’ll be glad to know that there is a 3-floor gymnasium and the largest library in Ireland at your disposal.

Enough said. Entertainment is probably THE reason why one would consider going to Dublin, the city of 751 pubs (Lyon: 274 bars). Here are the pubs we recommend :

A pint of Guinness costs between 4-6 euros. If you pay more, leave immediately. If you pay less, Lucky You.

You may end up spending 50 euros throughout the night but it is definitely worth it.

About transportation. When in Dublin, walk. Avoid taking taxis or city buses because they are overpriced and not worth it. However, intercity transport is cheap with 6 euros go-return tickets to Howth (for trekking) and Sandy Cove (for the courageous beachgoers) on the DART train. If one wants to go further to Galway or Cork, long-distance buses are very comfortable and only cost a maximum of 10 euros. We recommend taking unexcused course absences to visit other cities and to fully enjoy the green, white, and orange landscape.
